Something he needs
This year there were a lot of things that he needs. We are at a point with our cars where we either need to buy newer ones or fix some of the quirks with the ones we have. Since we have some pretty hefty financial goals we are working towards we are deciding to fix the quirks. So anything for his truck is needed. Then he recently started getting into wood working. He has quite the nice set up in the garage for a work space, but he still needs some things. So there is that too. I will list 3 things that I am thinking of getting since I don't want him to know which ONE he is getting.
1. Tint for the front windows of his truck. The best way to do this is to ask around who friends and family have liked in the past or if you have someone that installs tint and is reliable then that is the way to go. You can always get tint and install it yourself, but I don't want to do that and I don't really want to give Ryan a gift and then tell him to install it. So a local person is best.
2. There are about 5 different tools (give or take) that my husband needs to be fully set up, but he said this was next on the priority list.
3. He has wanted an apron for when he is working in his workshop. I am not sure this is a want or a need, but I put it here with the needs.
Something new to wear
Usually I get him a full outfit, but he really just wants some new dress shoes. I do NOT like to pick out his clothes/shoes (as I said earlier he is picky). So next weekend we are going to Nordstrom Rack to look for shoes. They have such a huge selection that we usually can find something there. If not then we will go to Dillard's or Nordstrom.
Toy
I usually let my daughter pick this out for my husband. She has already picked hers, but I will suggest 3 different things to help you pick a toy for the "big kid" in your life.
1. A remote control helicopter is always something that can entertain guys.
2. I have bought him Knex a few different years and it is always fun for him AND my daughter.
3. Lego sets are another thing that my daughter and him love to do together. This year my daughter said super heroes are the way to go.
Chocolate Lovers Stocking Stuffer Ideas
Both of these ideas come from See's Candies. What is in my husband's stocking is NEVER a secret, but at the same time if I didn't do it he would be devastated. I get him a half a pound of the Dark Chocolate Chip Truffles and a half a pound of the Dark Chocolate Peppermints. It takes him a long time to get through those two boxes, but he is so happy when I get them for him. If you haven't tried them then they are a must try. You might want a box for yourself. I usually have to beg him for one of each.
This gift guide is all over the place, but that is kind of how my husband is. He likes lots of different things and so that is what he is getting. Is that how your man is as well or does he stick with one thing or theme of things?
