THEME:  I have always felt that the theme "Onederland" was such a cute idea for a first party.  Welcoming them into the world of being ONE!  A wonderful world that is filled with so much wonder.  I knew I wanted to do that theme right away.

INVITES: I whipped up these invites pretty fast.  I used the colors that I was going to incorporate in her party decor (mint, pink/coral, and gold).  I love the little carton characters because they look little and young, just like my baby.  I like to send out my invites 3 weeks before the party.  That seems like a great time frame for a great turnout, not too early, but not too late.

CAKE: This is a talent that I unfortunately don't have.  Thankfully my sister in law is talented and she is so wonderful and always helps me out!  I think it turned out so cute and was perfect for her smash cake.  For the guests we did individual cupcakes.

PHOTO OP: For the photo backdrop I used My Minds Eye fans and banners!  (Fans Details: VintageIvory, and Trend.  For the letters in the banner "Onederland" I used two different banner packs: Fancy and Trend.)  I am so in love with their products.  If you don't have any of their products they are a MUST for your next party.  They are so very simple to use and they are beyond durable.  Do you remember the rainstorm I told you about?  These products held up through the first part of the storm.  We did run and save them as we were being pelted by HUGE raindrops, but they seriously look just fine.  I added the clock faces to the fans as an added touch to the theme.

DECOR:  I used decor from all over my house.  I used little Alice in Wonderland figurines to add some youthfulness to the tables because everything else was so fancy.  My husband always decorates a chalkboard for our girl's birthdays.  So of course he did an Alice in Wonderland themed chalkboard and we placed that behind the food table.  I used teacups and teapots to add dimension to both the cake table and the main table.  I used mini playing cards as confetti on the tables.  Behind the dessert table and all along the retaining wall I made a banner out of jute, clothespins, playing cards, and pictures of Isla during her first year of life.  I also formed a number "1" out of pictures from her first year and taped them to a wall so everyone could see them.  I placed that as the backdrop behind the party favor table.  Then of course I had banners from My Mind's Eye that I draped across the front of both the tables (Dessert Table and Main Table).  I also used their banners to drape across the front of her highchair too (Circle and Mini Pennant).  Another product from My Mind's Eye were the  Coral Honeycomb Balls.   Another product that I use all the time for parties are the Ikea Tolsby picture frames.  For this party I printed off free printables (Alice and Wonderland and Wildflower) that I found and slipped them in the frames.  Again...SIMPLE.  Then the last decoration and one of my favorites is the Alice in Wonderland board book.  That is one of my brand of books, BabyLit
