A women's black dress is something that you have to have in your closet. I feel this way especially if you are focusing on a small wardrobe. That way you have something elegant to wear if there is a circumstance to dress up.

However, I have worn this dress to a black tie event and then also to church. The key is to find one that will work for being dressed up and then also for a more casual setting. That is why I like a knee length dress for this category. (I have to confess that I have my eyes on a long black dress. IT IS SO PRETTY!)

I kind of talked about this above. You can dress up a black dress or dress it down. I recently went to a wedding where the attire was black tie. I wore this dress. I was a little nervous that it wasn't fancy enough, but I was very surprised with how I fit in and also how many compliments I got. I had so many people that I looked timeless and classy.

For that situation I wore heels and added more jewelry. I added a pearl necklace and bracelet. However, I have also worn this to church and other less formal settings. I have worn it with flats and booties. I have added a cardigan and I have added a blazer. Really the possibilities are endless.
