This next woman in this series is amazing.  She seriously amazes me everyday.  I went to high school with her husband and I never really knew her, but since I really met her at a blog conference in February I feel like she has been my friend forever.  She is an inspiration to me and I know she will be an inspiration to you as well.  You can follow Alyssa on her blog, After the Victory

28 Ways To Be Happier

happy, goals, create, live in moment
1.  Set goals and work towards them:  This one is the most important one.  You NEED to have goals. We are designed to progress.  We need direction in our life to feel happy.  If we do not have direction or goals then we are constantly lost.  My dad once told me an analogy.  He asked me, "If you were the captain of a ship and you had a whole crew at your command what would be your first step."  I told him to get a compass to lead me where I want to go.  He said, "Ok, so you are saying your first step is to have a destination in mind."  He went on to say that we can work really hard and have a lot of people helping us work really hard, but if we do not work TOWARDS something then we could be spinning around in circles.  Life can be very frustrating and stressful if we live like that.

3 Date Night Ideas For After the Kids are in Bed plus a bonus!

babysitter, kids, dates, romantic, sexy

As you probably already know I love The Dating Divas.  They come up with the most amazing dates and even ideas on how to make your spouse feel special.  Since this month we are talking all about kids I thought it would be fun to add some dates to our calendars that we can do if we have kids (great ideas even if you don't have kids).  I also have included a very fun idea to do if you are able to get a babysitter and go out.  The kids will love it!

The Love Dare

You guys!  Have you heard of The Love Dare or Fireproof?  I watched Fireproof when if first came out in 2009.  Ryan and I were newlyweds and watched it with my family.  It is all about strengthening marriage, being honest, and letting faith in a higher being guide you.  The Love Dare is the main idea of the movie.  It is a 40-day challenge for husbands and wives to do to strengthen their marriage.  Marriage is hard work.  It is totally worth the hard work though.  I am a firm believer that we need all the help we can get when it comes to strengthening marriage.

I like to plan and so I thought it would be a great day to post about date night.  Date night can be one of those things that gets overlooked.  It can easily be pushed aside with our busy lives or if you have a day planned for date night then you might get to the night of the date and look at each other and say, "So what do you want to do tonight?"  Sound familiar?  Well I want to help you with that.  Since I am a planner I try and avoid the situation above at all costs.  So in comes the date night jar.

Also, if you want date night idea after date night idea then click here to get a FREE "52 Date Night Ideas" e-book.  This e-book contains 12 date night "recipes".  This will help you have at least one idea per WEEK for date night!

Blog Tour!

Today I am participating in a blog tour!  I was very happy when Shanice from City of Creative Dreams emailed about being part of this blog tour.  I had to say yes because I love reading blog tour posts from all bloggers.  It is a fantastic way to get to know them.  Of course I want you to get to know me better so I jumped on the idea!  I will also introduce you to a couple of my favorite blogs right now.  I have a lot, but picked a couple.   First, let me answer the same questions that all the other bloggers have answered and then you get to see the bloggers that I am absolutely loving right now. You can see Shanice's answers to these questions on her site here.  She has an amazing linky party every week on Friday.  Go check it out to get a lot of inspiration from some very talented bloggers.

“Nights Off” made me a better mom and wife

Anyone that has kids knows that they take a lot of your attention and your energy.  Sometimes you get so involved in your kids that you forget about yourself.  This happened to me and I only have ONE kid.
