Sometimes you can have lot of ideas on what to get kids that are a certain age and other times there is a huge mind blank.  I have decided to compile a list of gift ideas for kids, more specifically girls that are aged 4 and 7.  That way when you hit a blank then you can use this as inspiration OR if you have no idea where to find something then hopefully I can help with that as well.

The 15 Best Board Games for Preschoolers up to Children Ages 7 or 8

The 15 Best Board Games for Preschoolers up to Children Ages 7 or 8
Do your kids want to constantly be planted in front of a screen?  Yeah, mine too.  It can be so frustrating and almost defeating.

I have been filling my home with great activities, toys, and games that make them want to play with them more than watch screens.  It is so wonderful.  One of the best resources for me as a mom are games.  However, finding fun games for young players can be hard.  Also finding games for younger and older kids to play together can be hard.  So I put together a list of the 14 best board games for preschoolers and these games are also great for children between the ages of 7-8.  We have loved these games as a family and my girls play them independently as well.

The Ultimate Gift Guide for Your Husband

wants, needs, shoes, clothes, toys
I am completely done Christmas shopping, except for my husband.  He is the HARDEST person I have to shop for.  Usually it is because he buys everything that he wants, but this year that wasn't the case.  The other reason why he is hard is because he is SO PARTICULAR.

The Ultimate Gift Guide for Family and Friends

This year I have 15+ people to buy for when it comes to friends and family.  That number can sometimes throw me into a panic.  The busy and crazy season can sometimes get the best of me.  So this year I am trying to simplify it.

Gift Ideas for the Person Who Has Everything

Smile Brilliant
I received free product in exchange of an honest review.  I do not recommend anything I cannot stand behind.

I have quite a few people on my Christmas list that have EVERYTHING.  If they don't have something they want then they buy it.  Seriously, so stressful at times.  So for those people I have given up.  I just don't get them a present.

The Ultimate Gift Guide for a 1 Year Old Girl

Frugal, want, need, clothes, creative, useful, toys
Christmas shopping can be hard because I want to get the perfect gift.  I feel like it is even more hard when it is for a baby or toddler that really doesn't have an opinion or maybe doesn't stick with one thing for more than a couple minutes.

6 Categories of Girlfriend Gifts

It's my friend's birthday and I have NO idea what to get her.  Panic strikes because she always seems to get me the best gifts and I can't even think of one thing to get her.  She has been my friend for 12+ years.  Shouldn't I know what to get her?

3 Creative Ways to Say Thank You

I think saying thank you is so very important.  In same ways it is a lost thing.  So many people in today's world expect so much and tend to not say thank you when someone does something extraordinary or is kind.

Family Survival Kit Baby Shower Gift

family baby shower gift ideas | baby shower gift ideas survival kits
I have so many friends that are having baby's right now.  It is so exciting, but it can always be hard to come up with a fun gift to give at a shower.  I have done the "favorites" gift so much that I had to come up with something else.

Budget Friendly Bridal Shower Gift Ideas

recipe, taco soup

It's bridal shower season and with that comes stress because shower gifts can cost a lot of money.  I always want my present to be thoughtful, but I also don't have a tree that grows money...yet.  So I have to come up with ways to have the gift be thoughtful, yet budget friendly.

Do you remember my post about the Kitchen/Recipe themed bridal shower?  These are two great gift ideas for a kitchen themed shower or any bridal shower for that matter.  The best part is they are both budget friendly and thoughtful.

Blog Tour!

Today I am participating in a blog tour!  I was very happy when Shanice from City of Creative Dreams emailed about being part of this blog tour.  I had to say yes because I love reading blog tour posts from all bloggers.  It is a fantastic way to get to know them.  Of course I want you to get to know me better so I jumped on the idea!  I will also introduce you to a couple of my favorite blogs right now.  I have a lot, but picked a couple.   First, let me answer the same questions that all the other bloggers have answered and then you get to see the bloggers that I am absolutely loving right now. You can see Shanice's answers to these questions on her site here.  She has an amazing linky party every week on Friday.  Go check it out to get a lot of inspiration from some very talented bloggers.

"Time of day" bridal shower gift ideas

I was recently invited to my cousin's bridal shower.  It was a "Time of day" shower and I got 10 am assigned to me.  What in the world do you do for 10 am.  During the week that could mean that you are already at work, but maybe not because what if they have a later shift.  However, on Saturday or Sunday maybe at 10 am you are lounging around in bed having a lazy Saturday or Sunday.  This is how I think through everything.  Do you think I over think things?!

Baby Shower Gift Idea

I went to a baby shower for a friend from my old ward.  We were in Young Womens together.  I was told about it at short(er) notice, but on top of that I was right in the middle of potty training.  So life was crazy.  I was not getting a lot done and I rarely ran errands.  I wanted to do something fun, but it had to be fast and easy.  I knew it was not going to be Pinterest worthy, but I wanted to do my best.  The "mommy to be" loved it and so I was happy.  I did a "Favorite Senses" gift.

See the details below.

Taste: This is the mommy's favorite snack.  During the late nights and early mornings you need something to help you stay happy!  (besides the sweet baby of course)
Sight: is ALWAYS the sweet baby.  I loved having this mirror when my little girl was facing backwards.  That way if she was crying I could quickly look and see if something visibly was bothering her.  (many times it was her headband that she pulled down over her eyes and couldn't get it back off.)

Sound: This was a CD I burned for her.  They are sweet lullabies that I love still to this day.  I felt like I was 14 again burning a CD.  (Again short on time)
Touch: A soft AND small blankie for the baby to carry around and cuddle.  That way you aren't carrying around a huge blanket.  Smell: Does it get any better than Lavender lotion?  I think NOT!  (my opinion though.)

Since I was low on time I didn't get to get a basket or anything cute to present it better than this bag.  Although it wasn't my perfect option...I didn't die and the "mother to be" was fine with it as well.  You don't have to have Pinterest worthy presentations on EVERYTHING.  Sometimes life will go on without it (I think *winks*).  I had this bag on had already, so it was a cheap option as well.  The card I had already made up.  It was a perfect addition.

I have wanted to do this as a gift to my hubby, but have not done that yet.  I think it would make a great Anniversary gift or even a good bridal shower gift!

I have downloadable tags you can attach to your gifts.  The ones I made for the gift above were left over scrapbook supplies that I have had forever.  Again, I did not have time to make anything else.  So I did the work for you!  I made some for all occasions.  Click on the link below the picture to get the printable version.
