The Best Shampoo and Conditioner for YOUR Hair

You know how people say "I thought I died and went to heaven" when referring to something amazing?  I kind of thought I would only love my hair when I died and went to heaven.  I always told people that my hair will be different in heaven, because it is FAR from perfect.  

I had so many people, including cosmetologists, tell me to try different shampoos and conditioners that were "the best shampoo and conditioner for your hair".  I would like things about it but there would be a million and one things I didn't like about it.  I always said, "If I was a millionaire then I would pay a chemist to develop a shampoo and conditioner for MY hair.

Summer can be really hard on our hair.  The chlorine from the pool and the sun can really take a toll on our hair.  As I have gotten older I have been more aware of things like this and I want to continue to take care of my hair during the Summer.

March.  Holy cow!  That came fast!  By now we are all probably getting into the swing of things and finding our groove, if you will, for this new year.  I have started a new job this year and I am always looking for quick and easy ways to style my hair for work.  Today I am going to share two incredibly quick ways to throw your hair up or just switch it up in just a few minutes before you run out the door.  Even if you work at home, having your hair done is somehow quite satisfying.  You feel better and are more liking to have a productive day if you get ready, even with just a simple hair-do.

Awe, yes. A time to celebrate love! I personally LOVE Valentine's Day! I even loved it when I was single. ;)  Love in all it's forms is beautiful and powerful. It changes people. Whether it's between spouses, siblings, parent and child, or any other relationships. I think love is amazing and it deserves to be celebrated!

Glory glory! It's the holiday season!  I don't know how everyone feels about this time of year, because I totally get that it can be ridiculously stressful. However, this is such a wonderful time of year when we express gratitude, spend time with those we love, and we drink wonderful things like apple cider and hot cocoa. Want to know what else I love about the holidays? The glam! You get to wear sparkly things and get fancy and you don't really have to have a reason! I love all things sparkly! Haha.

Who doesn't love fall??  The lovely sweaters, gorgeous leaves, holidays, and so much more!  While fall is one of my favorite times of year, there is one thing about it that is not my favorite thing.  In fact…it quite bothers me.  It would be the dry air.  With winter right around the corner, it begins to feel like all moisture is being sucked out of you.  Your skin dries out, your lips crack, and your hair, well your hair tends to get a bit wild.  You may notice that your hair won’t hold a curl or you put a nice fall sweater on only to find you look as if you have been electrocuted.  Maybe you notice that your ends are looking frayed and stringy.  I think you probably all know what I’m talking about.

No makeup? Try it!

On Monday a great group of bloggers announced a beauty movement.  Megan from Brassy Apple wanted to push this movement along by inviting women from all over to share pictures of what they look like without makeup.  I decided to join in.  This movement will make my husband so happy because he HATES makeup!  He hates that women feel like they have to wear makeup to feel pretty.  He LOVES me without an ounce of makeup on.  He tells me that nearly everyday.  I love this movement and I hope it can make a big impact.  I love women to love themselves not just the women they see with makeup on.  The song that inspired this movement is Try by Colbie Caillat.  It is a beautiful song and it has an awesome and powerful music video too.  I hope this movement and the song will help women feel more confident with themselves.

I have some exciting news!  I have an amazing friend that is going to be the beauty/hair contributor for my blog!  I am so excited to be adding another contributor and since hair tips is not my area of expertise I thought it worked out wonderfully.  I am so excited to be adding her as a contributor.  Starting in October she will be posting monthly.  Her name is Laura.  I am working on getting her bio under the contributors tab.  Keep looking for that.

Hairstyles between washings

I think.  Long pause.  I am going to grow my hair out.  I struggle with this.  There are so many cute short hair styles, but for some reason I do not feel like I can ever style them well.  Therefore, I think I am going to grow my hair out and see what I think for awhile.  Then if I want a change I will cut it.  Sound good?  I think.  I always think about things way too long.  So now you get to hear my thoughts about it.  *wink

To start off I have to tell you that my hair is NOT my best feature.  I was not blessed with easy or the most beautiful hair.  I am not trying to be negative...I am just being honest.  It is a cross between frizzy and wavy.
