I have been filling my home with great activities, toys, and games that make them want to play with them more than watch screens. It is so wonderful. One of the best resources for me as a mom are games. However, finding fun games for young players can be hard. Also finding games for younger and older kids to play together can be hard. So I put together a list of the 14 best board games for preschoolers and these games are also great for children between the ages of 7-8. We have loved these games as a family and my girls play them independently as well.

This game is great because it is educational, but there are also hand eye coordination activities as well.
This game is actually great for toddlers too! Sometimes finding games for such young kids can be hard. There are lots of different ways to play this so it can grow with your children as they get older.
This game is my girls' favorite game. Well at least one of them. They love playing the game, but they also love playing with the cupcakes and coming up with their own stories and games.
I love this game because it is collaborative. Kids this age like to help each other and ask for help anyways. So why not work together?! This game helps with counting and memory. It is highly interactive. It is such a great game for young players.
Everyone loves this song right? This game also focuses on fine motor skills because the goal is to not have the monkeys fall off the bed. This game is a great game to make work for your level of child too. I love games like that, where you can help them grow with each child.
This game is really simple for young players to pick up on easily. It isn't too long so it keeps their attention. It also comes with the little pets that my girls love as well.
I can not put this list together and not include Candy Land. This classic game is great for younger and older players. It is simple enough that no matter what the age of your kids they will have fun playing it. If you have a My Little Pony obsessed child then there is a version you may want to look into getting.
Bingo is another classic, but with little kids you can't always play the classic bingo. This one is perfect because it uses farm objects instead of numbers. My girls both love this game as well.
This game promotes creativity. I also like to come up with our own way of playing this game. You can use this game in so many different ways. Just find a way that works with your family and it will be a hit for years to come.
Another classic game that both my kids love to play over and over. As soon as one of them wins they say, "Lets see if the other person can win" and they start over again. So simple and so fun.
My girls love this game. They play with and without the cards depending on the day. My oldest loves to hide Elmo from my youngest and give her clues where to find him. You can turn Elmo's voice on for little hints while searching or leave it off for more of a challenge.
The figurines alone had my daughters in love with this game. It is simple and fun. They also love to make believe with the figurines and the castle. I love multi functional games like that.
This game can be attached to the one above. Once again there is a lot of imagination that goes into this game. It is simple if you want to play it just as the directions say.
Yep you guessed it. You can attach this one to the ones above as well. If you want an extra long game you can attach all three, but if you want shorter games then use only two or even one.
We actually haven't played this one, but it is on our list. I have looked into it and it is just like the other pop up games above. You can attach this one to the above ones as well. Great for any Frozen lovers. So fun!
BONUS
If you are wanting a fantastic game for the youngest of players then this game has been a favorite for years. Older kids love to help little toddlers know how to play. It is very basic so they might get bored of it and that is why I didn't include in above. I wanted to mention this one though, because finding a game for kids under 2 can be a challenge. It teaches colors, emotions, counting, and is great for interaction.
I gift my girls a game to share each Christmas. It is a fun way to add games to our game closet without being too overwhelming. Just one at a time.
