This month came at such a great time. My girls have been at odds lately. It seems there is always something to fight about. I read over 40 books in search of the best picture books about kindness and friendliness.
Now I must warn you. I read over 40, but I only was able to cut it down to 20. This list is long, but it is full of amazing books. I love them all. I have this post broken down into kindness books, friendliness books, my favorite books in both categories, and two books that are just in time for the Christmas season! Enjoy!

Friendliness Books
This book would best be read over various days. It is great because it tells a lot about different parts of friendship, such as how not to be a friend, and how to be a great friend. It can be a little long for one sitting though.
This book has a little about peer pressure too. Sometimes our friends want us to do things that really aren't "like" us. However, you can still be friends with your friends and also be obedient to your teacher and parents.
This book is like many books on my list. It's about two best friends that do everything together and then a new "person" moves into town. This disrupts their dynamic, but in the end they realize they are still best friends.
This book is so good for kids my daughter's age (Kindergartener). I don't know if any of you parents have kids that have a hard time grasping the fact that you can be friends with multiple people at the exact same time. My daughter gets that she has different friends, but needing to play with them all at the same time is hard for her to understand. This book showed this beautifully.
This book shows that sometimes our friends change. However, that doesn't mean they aren't our friends any more or more importantly that you can't be kind to each other.
This book reminded me a lot of Fish is Fish. It is about two friends that go separate ways, but how they stay friends and how they are both valuable to this world.
This book is so simple. Its a very quick read. And it is actually called a Friendship primer. So I had to include it. If you know me and have been following along then you know I LOVE BabyLit books. Any time I can include one I will. Sadly this is the only one that has made it on my value list of books.
