40 Ways to Slash Spending…NOW!3

eating, 40 Ways to Slash Spending…NOW!, water, plan meals, store brands

Eating:

-Utilize the farmers market.  Also, have you heard of Bountiful Baskets?  They are located in 23 states now.  Go to their website and see if your state is one of them.  You get a lot of fruits and veggies for a great price!

-Order water when you eat out.  This seriously saves you so much money and it is better for you!

-Plan your meals ahead of time and go shopping as little as possible.  I will share with you what I do when it comes to meal planning next month.  Come check it out in August!

-Buy store brands.  This is a big money saver.

-Check out the clearance/manager specials.  They usually have these in all stores.  You can get really great deals shopping these items.

-Invest in a deep freezer.  This will obviously cost more up front, but you can shop the sales and freeze items.  This has been on my want list for years.  I need to take the plunge.

-Can your own fruits and veggies. Not only is it cheaper, but I think it tastes better!

-Again use GrouponLiving SocialKSL, or discounted gift cards to eat out.  Why not save money if you are eating out?

-Birthday Freebies  Make your birthday fun with these birthday Freebies.  I am a big fan of birthdays.  So this is a must!

-There are many places where kids eat free on certain days and at certain times.  Scout those out for when you bring the kiddies.

-Eat at home instead of eating out.  (I can hear a lot of groans as they read this.)

Final tip: This falls under any category that you want to choose.  Choose something right now that you want to watch your spending on.  It could be clothes, eating out, or cutting out that one store that always gets you for a period of time.  These are ideas, but there are many other things to watch your spending on.  You will be surprised how much you can save by doing this.

Do you have any other ways to slash spending?  I would love any advice at all.
