A 2 year old's dream Bubble Guppies party2

Two days before:
-Start putting up any decor that can be up this early.  This step saves me also.  The less I have to do the day of the party the better!
-Go grocery shopping for all the food.  Since you should have heard from everyone whether or not they are coming this should help to only get the amount of food you need.
-Start getting any glassware ready.  I have a lot of my glassware in storage; if you do as well then get it out of storage, washed, and ready.

The day before:
-Iron any linens and get them on the tables if you are using them
-Set up as much of the party as you can
-Put together as much of the food/display table as you can with décor,  glassware, cake stands, etc.

Morning of the party (unless it is a morning party then do this before you go to bed the night before):
-Set garbage cans out where everyone can see them (that way you do not get asked about 100 times where your garbage can is)
            -Finish setting everything up
            -Chill drinks
-Clean and prep the guest bathroom (you might forget about this with everything else you are doing, but it is something you want to consider doing)

Two hours before:
            -Finish all food preparation

One hour before:
-Turn on music (if you don’t do that now then you will forget….well I always do)
-Get all the food out and ready to be served
            -Sit down and relax!

Some other party tips:
1.  Have a welcome activity.  I had a bubble machine going outside.  The kids loved it!  I also printed off some coloring pages from Nick Jr.  They have a whole birthday section on their website.  I utilized those printables with a lot of the decor.
2.  Have different sections for different activities.  Get creative if you have a smaller space to work with.  I had to do this since our home is not that big.  Do not forget to designate a place to put the gifts.  That way they don't get plopped all over the place.
3.  Utilize any free sources online, like I said in #1 I used Nick Jr.  I printed the coloring sheets, the game the kids played, and the happy birthday banner from there.  Check out different sources.

I didn't get a picture of the finished product of the banner.  Look at my awesome little brother helping me set up!

4.  Set a budget or you can go crazy and broke over a party...you do not want to do that.
5.  Utilize Pinterest or create your own board to put all your ideas.  I am an avid Pinterest user.  It can be a little much sometimes.  I created a board on Pinterest months in advance and when I found anything on there I would "pin" it to my board.  That way it was easy to find.  You can also get a binder, poster board, or folder and cut out magazine inspiration or sketches you come up with if you like that route better.  This way you keep all your thoughts together.

My husband gets credit for this one!  I married an amazing man!

So what do you think this is?  I had this discussion after the party.  Octopus or Crab?
(Really easy to make...just cut up an orange bell pepper.  I also just glued on googly eyes)
If you didn't know it was an ocean party you would think it was a boy party with all the blue.

Sprite with blue food coloring and water

These were so fun and yet so easy.  I put marshmallows on skewers and dipped them in melted blue raspberry frosting.  Then I dipped the bottoms in crushed graham crackers and put the goldfish on.  Last, I attached the bubbles (pearls from the cake decorating section).  They were really, really sweet, but I loved to look at them.
