From her mom and dad:
Since she has no idea about Santa then we need to make sure she gets something from us.  Otherwise she starts asking why we didn't get her anything.  We tell her that Santa brings most of the presents, but we give them one on Christmas Eve.  It has been fun to have that tradition.

This year she loves Legos, but at at the same time she LOVES anything Disney Princess.  So we combined the two and got her a Disney Princess Lego set.

From Santa at the big family party:
Every year since I can remember my dad's side of the family would go to the cabin around Christmas time.  Every year Santa would stop by and see us.  It was absolutely magical and some of my best memories are from those cabin trips.  Since the extended family is so big and the grand kids are married and having kids my Grandma and Grandpa still have a gathering just not at the cabin.  And guess what?!  Santa comes!  The parents have to provide the gift and the budget is $10... that way some kids don't get at new gaming system while other kids get a book.  Good idea right?  haha

Hannelore has been into Little People for a few years now and she always wants more.  So that is what Santa is bringing to that family party.

Game for New Years Eve:
For the last 2 years we have been doing a new tradition that we wait to give our girls a present on New Years Eve.  We don't just hand it to them either.  This is the fun part.  Santa "forgets" to give them a gift.  So our Elf (Elf on the Shelf) drops it off on the front step with a note and rings the doorbell and leaves.  The note says something like, "Santa forgot to leave; this we found it at the bottom of his bag or sleigh."

Every year it is a game.  Another tradition that I remember and is tied to great memories is playing games on New Years Eve.  All. Night. Long.  I loved it.  Every year my parents would buy us a new game that we could play that year.  It was so fun.  So this gift is always a game.  Since Isla is still small and doesn't really care about games, YET.  I decided to make this one last year something fun for Hannelore.  She has been wanting a particular game and so I got it for her.

New Years Eve Game

I can't wait to give these presents to her.  Christmas is such a magical time with kids and I think I sometimes get more excited than they do!  I hope these ideas helped you in some way to come up with ideas for a little 4 year old in your life!

Please note:  These prices are subject to change.  Many of them have changed since I ordered them.  For instance the cupcake game I got for $13.50 and it is $16.99 when I put together this guide.  That is the great part of shopping early, you can keep your eye on the things you want and buy them when the price is great!

Good luck and happy shopping!
